Our Services
We believe each pet is special and deserves personalized care, so we will take the time to get to know your pet and create a trusting bond. Our team understands that you know your pet better than anyone, so we’ll ask questions to uncover any changes in their behavior or overall health. We are proud to be a Fear Free Certified® practice, and we do all we can to alleviate your pet’s anxiety and maximize their comfort. Here are some of the options our pet clinic provides:
Preventative medicine is just as important for pets as it is for people. Regular exams and vaccinations help ensure a healthy life and can prevent illness. Keeping your pet vaccinated can prevent them from becoming ill with many devastating or fatal diseases, but we understand that exposure risk is very individual. Vaccine protocols are tailored to each patient. There is no one size fits all approach to good medicine. Annual wellness exams also help us to diagnose or identify diseases or chronic illness early, when they are easier to treat. Dogs and cats age faster than people, so significant changes in your pet’s health can happen in a short time. We recommend healthy adult dogs and cats be seen annually, but juvenile, senior, or pets with chronic health issues should be monitored more frequently.
Pet Dental
Imagine what your mouth would feel like if you never brushed your teeth or went to the dentist. For many dogs and cats, this is a painful reality. According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have dental disease by the age of 3. Dental (or periodontal) disease is the most frequently diagnosed health problem in pets.
Common signs of dental disease include:
- Yellow or brown buildup (tartar) on the teeth
- Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
- Bad breath
- Excessive drooling
- Changes in eating or chewing habits
- Pawing at the face
- Loose teeth
- Depression
Pet Surgical Services
Our experienced veterinarians provide many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine spay & neuter surgeries to advanced soft tissue procedures. Because we want to ensure that our patients receive the best possible outcome, we occasionally refer them to specialists (board-certified veterinary surgeons) to perform complex operations when advanced equipment or training will be beneficial. Our veterinary team takes every precaution so that your pet receives the highest-quality care. We perform a physical exam and preanesthetic testing before surgery, monitor your pet during surgery, and provide appropriate pain medication to keep your pet comfortable during recovery.
Alternative and Complementary Therapy
Alternative therapies, which are also referred to as “integrative” or “complementary” therapies, include acupuncture, homeopathy, laser therapy, massage therapy & acupressure, and PRP (platelet-rich plasma). We provide these therapies in conjunction with traditional medicine and surgery to help improve outcomes and to give us additional options for treating our patients. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about whether these types of therapy could benefit your pet.
We offer the following alternative therapies:
- Acupressure, Massage Therapy, & Energy Work
- PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
- Stem Cell Therapy and Banking
- Laser Therapy
- Acupuncture
- PulseVet Shockwave Therapy
